Description
Here is Rogue in her Classic Jim Lee designed Costume from the 90s . I was trying my best to channel how Marvel comics were colored in the 90s before they got into digital coloring in the mid to late 90s .. anyways I was also trying to homage a little bit of the 70s Dave Cockrum linework in my figures mixed with a little bit of Mike Parobeck (who drew the DCAU Batman Adventures comics also from the 90s )
so the concept here for this little piece of fan art was inspired by the Avengers Age of Ultron Trailer and watching X-Men the Animated series season 1 episode one Night of the Sentinels . so here I have a bunch of Thrashed and trashed Sentinels lead by Nimrod and Ultron and 2 Possessed Ironman Armors ( the 90s Modular Armor I remember seeing a lot of as a Kid in the Capcom fighting game Marvel Superheroes and on the OK Ironman cartoon of the 90s and a few of the 90s Toy Biz Figures and the classic Steve Ditko designed armor from the 60s I added because I remember seeing it when I was reading alot of back issues of early 80s ironman comics (drawn by John Romita Jr ) I remember reading the story where Dr Doom and Ironman end up in camelot . and Nimrod I remember from the 90s cartoon and reading reprints of claremont`s 80s run also with Jr Jr doing the art . I had a lot of fun sketching ,inking and coloring this picture
I also Humming the 90s X-Men theme music and Rogue`s Theme song when she would jump into action
